Shoot Auto.

Privacy Policy

Last updated November 1, 2026

The short version. We collect only what runs the map and the game. No real names, no birthdays, no selling your data, no ad tracking. The location hidden inside your photos is stripped before upload. The exact time you took or posted a photo is private to you; everyone else sees the month and season only. Your live location stays on your phone. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

Who we are

Shoot Auto is made by Keep It Reel (Washington State, USA). Questions: csreelvlogs@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account: your email (or Apple's private relay email if you use Sign in with Apple), username, home state, and optional social handles you choose to show.
  • Your cars: year, make, model, nickname, and the car photo you add.
  • What you post: spots (name, location, type, details) and photos, with the car you picked.
  • Activity in the app: saves, lists, hearts, location confirmations, reports, blocks, keys, Street Cred and accolades.
  • Photo time: when a photo was taken and posted, kept privately so time-of-day accolades can be judged. Only you see the exact time.
  • Device: a push notification token (if you allow notifications), your language, and your time zone (for streak weeks and challenge resets).

What we don't collect

  • Your real name, birthday, phone number, or contacts
  • Your live location on our servers. Your phone uses it to show distances, weather, drive times, and whether you're at a spot. It isn't stored or tracked.
  • The GPS data inside your photos. We read it on your phone to place or confirm a spot, then remove it before the photo is uploaded.
  • Anything for advertising or tracking across other apps and websites

How we use it

  • To run the map: show spots, photos, who found them, and directions
  • To run the game: Street Cred, accolades, challenges, Turf rankings, keys, and Founders
  • To send notifications you allow (for example, a new photo at your spot or your spot going live), and accolade emails if you turn them on
  • To keep the community safe: review new spots, handle reports, and stop cheating and abuse

What other people see

Your username, cars, Street Cred rank, accolades, spots you found, photos you posted (with month and season, never the exact date), and social handles only if you choose to show them. Faces and plates can be blurred before you post with the app's privacy blur.

Who helps us run it

  • Supabase stores the account data, spots, and photos.
  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple, push notifications, Maps (drive times and directions), and Weather.
  • Vercel hosts the share pages for links you send.

They process data only to provide those services. We don't sell your personal information. If we ever add ads, we'll update this policy and ask for permission first where it's required.

How long we keep it

As long as your account is open. When you delete your account (Garage › Account › Delete account), we delete your account, cars, photos, saves, and hearts. Approved spots you found stay on the map as part of the shared map, without your name on them.

Your choices

  • Turn location, camera, photo, and notification permissions on or off any time in your iPhone's Settings.
  • Edit your username, cars, and social handles in the app.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by email.
  • Delete your account in the app.

Kids

Shoot Auto isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We'll update this page when things change and tell you in the app if the change is important.
